Merseyside's profile as a tourism destination on the national and international stage is rapidly increasing. This has been accelerated by Liverpool's two designations of a World Heritage Site and the European Capital of Culture 2008. There has, therefore, never been a greater need nor opportunity for Merseyside's tourism industry to present itself to the world as being of the highest quality and providing a thoroughly enjoyable and professional visitor experience.

The Mersey Partnership is committed to helping tourism businesses in the LCR to improve their performance and productivity and to supporting those businesses who want to expand and make quality driven investments that will help to deliver the tourism vision described above. This section therefore gives details of potential grant aid and/or direct funding support for businesses.
