Southport Tourism Business Network
The Southport Tourism Business Network (STBN) promotes Southport as a key visitor destination (eg. for shopping, conferences, golf, events, tourism and leisure). Funding by both public and private sector members including Sefton MBC Tourism department, the basic purpose of the STBN is to retain the existing level of visitors and attract new visitors to Southport. This has to be done to safeguard jobs and increase investment and employment opportunities.
The STBN works in a very structured way, with a number of working groups delivering tourism work. They report progress to the Executive Committee on a regular basis. All the main tourism commercial sectors of the town are represented on the group - hoteliers, attractions, conference venues,
restaurants, media and retailers.

The STBN also has 7 working Sub-groups (see below) which meet throughout the year. These sub-groups report to the STBN Alliance meeting above. Also discussed at this meeting are National and local tourism issues which affect
Southport.
