Southport Ambassador Awards 2010

Congratulations to all winners and Shortlisted staff of the Southport Ambassador Awards!

Recognising and rewarding those in the tourism, hospitality, leisure and retail sectors who work hard to give exceptional service to the public, staff were nominated in a range of categories. Following a judging session, winners were announced at the prestigious awards ceremony on 3rd March at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre.

A big thank you to all our sponsors, whose support made the event a huge success! The evening started with a drinks reception sponsored by Gerrard Seel and entertainment provided by the St.Ambrose Steel Band.

Paul Salt (known as Salty on Real Radio) was a great compere and introduced guest speaker Stuart Broster (Director, thenhospitality), before moving onto presenting the awards. Following a delightful 3 course meal provided by the Theatre, guests were then treated to a Maloney's after dinner cocktail and Illy Espresso's.

The evening concluded with the Winner of Winners being announced; Stuart Cockburn from Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa. He will now go forward to represent Southport at The Mersey Partnership Awards on 10th June, at the BT Convention Centre in Liverpool. We wish Stuart all the best at the forthcoming awards!
