The growing wealth of expertise in Liverpool’s Knowledge Economy has helped secure the latest scientificconference for the city - with an estimated economic impact of £1.52million.
Some 800 delegates will attend The World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP) at the BT Convention Centre on 16-19 August, 2015.
WAAVP is a not-for-profit organisation for scientists across the globe who study the parasites of non-human animals, encompassing helminthology, protozoology and entomology.
TMP’s Liverpool Convention Bureau (LCB) was instrumental in bringing the conference to Liverpool, alongside Liverpool City Region Conference Ambassadors, Professors Sandy Trees and Diana Williams together with Professional Conference Organisers, Happening.
Professors Trees and Williams, both from the University of Liverpool, presented the bid at WAAVP’s Buenos Aires conference this year.
