Liverpool Boat Show and TMP to pool resources in International marketing deal

A groundbreaking international marketing agreement to pool resources and promote the City Region and Liverpool Boat Show has been agreed by the event’s promoters and TMP.

Marine Industry Events (MIE) has chosen TMP – Tourist Board for Liverpool City Region – to lead on international destination marketing activity for the event, which runs for 10 days along the city’s world famous waterfront, starting on 29 April.

As a result of a strong and developing partnership, MIE has also signed up as a TMP Member.

Under the terms of the agreement, TMP will undertake advertising activity in core domestic and overseas markets to promote the event and Liverpool City Region’s wider destination offer.

The Liverpool Boat Show 2011 takes place between 29 April and 8 May, showcasing hundreds of super yachts, power boats and historic ships. Approximately 400,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will also feature a Sea Shanty Festival, Comedy Festival, Tall Ships, family events, trade exhibitions, sailing regatta and watersports demonstrations.
