APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR 2011 TOURISM AWARDS

As the official Tourist Board for the Liverpool City Region, The Mersey Partnership (TMP) organises the Tourism Awards to recognise and reward excellence across the Visitor Economy sector.  The Awards Ceremony has become an annual showcase for the best of the City Region's destination offer. This year's event takes place on Thursday 26 May 2011.  The Main Sponsor for the 2011 Tourism Awards is Merseytravel.

Categories for 2011 are:

1. Hotel of the Year
2. Self Catering Accommodation of the Year
3. Guest Accommodation of the Year
4. Large Visitor Attraction of the Year
5. Small Visitor Attraction of the Year
6. Taste
7. Excellence in Business Tourism
8. Sustainable Tourism
9. Best Tourism Experience
10. Tourism Event of the Year
11. Excellence in Customer Service *
12. Tourism Retailer of the Year
13. Bar of the Year
14. Culture and Heritage Experience of the Year
15. Tourism Marketing Initiative of the Year

* Shortlist for this category is compiled from winners of the Local Authority district awards.

How to Enter:

Application Forms are available to download by clicking on the categories above. You can enter any of the categories relevant to your business.

Entry is free. The closing date for submitting applications is strictly 5.00pm Friday 18th March 2011.

Please note: previous winners are eligible to enter in the same category for this year.
