Taste Liverpool Restaurant Accreditation Scheme

Taste Liverpool is the new restaurant accreditation scheme for restaurants and other eateries throughout the Liverpool City Region, promoted by The Mersey Partnership Tourist Board. Building on the success of the Taste Lancashire marque, Taste Liverpool highlights establishments who show excellence in the areas of customer service and food and drink provision, and offer a quality dining experience to visitors to the Liverpool City Region.

The Lancashire scheme was set up to guide people to where they could find quality food in the county. It was an immediate success, and now has more than 100 members.

The Taste Liverpool scheme will be independently assessed by Quality in Tourism, with three accreditations available:

Restaurants who score 60 to 79% in the assessment will receive a "Taste Liverpool Quality Assured" accreditation.
Those scoring 80% or over will receive a "Taste Liverpool Highest Quality Assured" accreditation.
Restaurants who demonstrate that they use and promote locally-sourced produce may additionally receive a "Made in North West" accreditation.

Trained national assessors will make a 'mystery visit', and mark establishments according to a strict set of criteria. A full written report will then be prepared, determining which accreditation(s) you have achieved.

Successful restaurants will receive priority listing on the visitliverpool.com website, a certificate for display, window sticker(s) and the use of the accreditation logo(s) on your own promotional materials - e.g. menus, fliers, website etc.

We have created new pages within the Eating Out & Nightlife section of our VisitLiverpool.com website specifically to highlight those businesses who have signed up to the Taste Liverpool Scheme. Click HERE to see the list of current participants.
