Welcome To Excellence
The seven training programmes that form part of the Welcome to Excellence package are linked to national standards, employ highly qualified trainers and involve a variety of activities. They each stand alone as one-day courses and delegates tend to pick the one most appropriate for their activity. Delegates even get a badge and certificate upon completion, which can be an important morale booster especially for those who have received little or no recognition before.
Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board have the remit and funding to deliver these courses across the North West region. Welcome All
This programme provides practical advice and guidance on providing a service to customers with specific needs - sensory, mobility and learning disabilities - and concentrates on an individual's responsibility for effective communication.

Welcome Host Gold
The Welcome Host Gold one-day training course gives participants today's core customer service skills - reflecting the latest techniques and best practice. It is a highly flexible course, and can be tailored to include content and knowledge specific to destinations and businesses.

Welcome Host
A one-day training programme designed to help participants to acquire new customer service and communication skills, as well as to improve their knowledge of local facilities and services.

Welcome International
This programme is designed for those whose work brings them into contact with international visitors. It provides a basic introduction to key phrases in several languages and gives participants an appreciation of cultural differences to help them improve service standards.

Green Edge
This one day training programme will provide you with an understanding of the importance of green tourism and with the skills and knowledge to start implementing green actions that work for your business.This course is aimed at owners, managers and supervisors in the leisure, travel and tourism industry. Also for students preparing for a career in the above industries.
